Seafood for Days
The Sydney Fish Markets are the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, an absolute must see for any foodie. You will find seafood here you can’t get anywhere else in the world. Your host can take you to the best vendors here to sample Sydney Rock and Pacific oysters and fresh ocean trout sashimi.
Next stop at an urban institution, Bourke Street Bakery. Why not try an Aussie meat pie or some bread fresh from the oven with their outstanding barista-made coffee.
For lunch we have a few tricks up our sleeve, there will be a choice between a French Bistro in the uber-trendy Pott’s Point, a quintessential beachside café or a burger joint that will absolutely knock your socks off!
Sweet & Alcoholic
After lunch, kick off your afternoon with something sweet. We highly recommend a scoop or two of Gelato Messina, a Sydney institution and absolute must on any foodie adventure. Choose from 40 unique flavours, all hand-created by this passionate local family.
Finish the day with a true Australian treat – a flight of ice-cold locally brewed beers at The Endeavour Tap Rooms. This delightful old pub is located within the building once home to Sydney’s longest running colonial hotel so get your fill of history (along with a beer or two) when you visit this beauty. If wine is more your tipple, they have you covered too with a wide range of local drops – think a creamy Hunter Valley chardonnay or crisp South Australian Riesling.
